The Snapdragon 600 series processors have been quite a famous lineup from Qualcomm. It is a mid-tier series powering most of the budget offerings out there. The most significant from this series came up in August 2017, which was the Snapdragon 660. In that time it was quite the processor for all the sub 15000 INR phones, including phones like the Redmi Note 7, Realme 2 Pro, Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 and so on. However a few months ago this year, the successor to the 660 was launched by the name Snapdragon 665. It has hardly been five months and already we see a wide range of phones powered by the Snapdragon 665. So here we are going to take a look at the best Snapdragon 665 phones of 2019 out there in the market, that is just too good as per their price to performance ratio.

Redmi Note 8

Redmi is a sub-brand under Xiaomi that has been known for offering value for money since the time of its launch. Among all the Note series of Redmi has gathered quite the traction in the Indian market. The most recent Note series devices that came to light from Xiaomi were the Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro. The Note 8 version, that is the non-pro version is powered by the Snapdragon 665. Looking at other specs, we get a 6.3 inch FHD+ IPS panel with a waterdrop style which holds the 13 MP front camera. On the rear side, we see a quad-camera setup with a 48 MP primary sensor, an 8 MP wide-angle sensor, a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro lens sensor. It also comes with a huge 4000 mAh battery that boosts up quite quickly with the 18W given in the box. On the software side of things, we see Android Pie running on MIUI 10. As of now, it is only available in China, but within a span of one or two months, we will see both the Redmi Note 8 devices making their way to the Indian market.

Realme 5

This device is quite new to the Indian market as it has not yet been a month since it was launched in India. Realme 5 has two variants, one is the standard Realme 5 and the other is the Realme 5 pro. The standard version, that is the Realme 5 comes powered by the Snapdragon 665 on board. On top of it, we get a big 6.5-inch HD+ IPS LCD panel, along with a fullscreen display design along with a small notch on top. This notch houses the 13 MP front camera. Moving on to the rear side here too we see a quad-camera setup, with a 12 MP primary sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2 MP depth sensor and a 2 MP macro sensor. However, the most remarking thing is here is the huge 5,000 mAh battery on board. This would easily last more than a day even in heavy usage, or more than two days with low to moderate uses. The lowest 32GB+3GB variant comes in at a cheap price point of 10,000 rupees which undoubtedly makes it the best in this segment. There is the 4GB+64GB variant and 4GB+128GB variant too at 10,999 and 11,999 Indian rupees if you desire a bigger storage space.

Xiaomi Mi A3

Mi Series from Xiaomi is kind of a more premium offering from Xiaomi and the A-series mainly focuses on providing the best camera setup for the price. Just recently on 21st August, Mi A3 was launched in Indian and since it’s launch it has been the talk of the town for a while now, especially considering the low price point and the features it offers. As the list suggests, this is also a Snapdragon 665 device with a 6.05 inch Super AMOLED HD+ display, which is a rarity in the sub 12000 INR segment devices. On top of it, we get the 7th gen in-display fingerprint scanner to keep up with the trend of 2019. Moving on to the cameras, we have a 32 MP front camera present in a waterdrop notch and a triple camera setup on the rear with a 48 MP primary Sony sensor, an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor. On top of it, we get 4,030 mAh battery with an 18W charger bundled in the box. We also see android one on this device, so that means a clean android experience with no MIUI skinned on top with regular software and security updates. We have two variants here, one is the 4GB+64GB variant at a price tag of 12,999 rupees and a 6GB+128GB variant for 15,999 rupees.

Xiaomi Mi CC9e

This is the Chinese variant of the Mi A3 which was launched way back before Mi A3 was launched globally. Nothing is differentiating between the two of them in terms of hardware, we have the same Super AMOLED display, same camera setup and same battery. The only difference lies in the software side of things. In the Mi A3, we get a pure android experience whereas on the Mi CC9e we get the MIUI 10. This is only available in China as of now, as the global version has already been launched.
